An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly enthusiastic and energetic individual to join as a Housekeeper in the Emergency Department. The post holder will be required to cover 7 days per week on a shift basis.
The Housekeeper will work as an integral part of the Department.
Successful individuals will need to be able to work with the Lead Nurse to ensure that all facilities in the department are conducive to a clean, safe and comfortable environment.
Excellent communication skills are vital as the role includes liaising with Catering department, Estates and Facilities and working closely with the nursing team. Great organisational and IT skills are required to work under non-direct supervision to prioritise your own workload. It is necessary to have a flexible approach within this role and be able to respond appropriately to the demands of an ever changing workload.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the patient experience on the ward so previous experience with customer care would be ideal.
