Job description

Do you have a passion for cleanliness, presentation, and maintaining high standards, with a desire to be part of a friendly and engaging team? This could be the perfect opportunity for you…

Born in 2010 and distilled in the heart of Edinburgh, Edinburgh Gin has established itself as a pioneer in craft and flavor. We are rated as one of Scotland’s top tourist attractions on Tripadvisor, offering innovative and engaging experiences. Recently, we opened a state-of-the-art distillery in Edinburgh’s Old Town at the Arches on East Market Street, blending traditional craft with innovation to create exceptional gin experiences with breathtaking views of Edinburgh’s skyline. This investment reflects our pride in our product and our commitment to sharing it with visitors.

As we continue our journey, fueled by our passion for gin and dedication to excellence, we are looking for team members to join us at this exciting time.

We have opened our distillery to visitors worldwide and are seeking Housekeepers to join our team.

Our Edinburgh Gin Distillery, located in the iconic ‘Arches,’ is committed to providing exceptional visitor experiences. Our Housekeeping team plays a vital role by ensuring the distillery is immaculately clean and well-presented at all times.

Who We Are Looking For…

We seek someone efficient, proactive, and a team player with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and dedication. A warm, friendly personality will help you fit in well.

The distillery operates 7 days a week. We anticipate shifts from 6.30 am to 12.30 pm to prepare the site for visitors. Hours may fluctuate based on business needs, and further details will be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness across the site, including visitor and production areas, retail shop, tasting rooms, meeting rooms, back offices, kitchens, and toilet facilities.

Candidates must be 18 or over and able to demonstrate the right to work in the UK.

What We Will Provide You…

This rewarding role offers a permanent position with an hourly rate of £12.60. The contract is based on annualized hours, providing a guaranteed monthly income. Benefits include enhanced annual leave, a company pension scheme, and product discounts.

We offer part-time contracts of 2 or 3 days per week. Please specify your preference in your application.

As a key part of our operation and visitor experience, if this role matches your skills and experience, we would love to hear from you!

Along with your CV, please submit a tailored cover letter explaining why you are a perfect fit. Early application is advised, as the vacancy may close when enough candidates are received.
