Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 gross per annum

Start Date: ASAP

Hours Required: 5 days per week. 7am to 7pm with a break during the day

Driver: Yes, and must have own car

Accommodation: Own bedroom and bathroom

Summary

A warm and supportive family in Godalming, Surrey is seeking an experienced and compassionate live-in or live-out housekeeper to assist two active and mobile elderly individuals in their home. The ideal candidate will offer reliable domestic support while also providing gentle companionship, especially as one of the individuals is living with mild dementia. This role suits someone who is kind, patient, and organised, with a genuine interest in contributing to a calm, well-run household. A driver with their own car is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• General housekeeping, including cleaning, tidying, laundry, and ironing
• Preparing and cooking nutritious meals
• Accompanying the couple to local appointments, such as GP visits, shopping trips, or lunches out
• Providing gentle support and companionship, particularly with memory prompts and simple routines
• Ensuring the home remains clean, organised, and comfortable
• Occasional errands or ad hoc tasks as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience as a private housekeeper, preferably in a similar live-in or live-out role
• Kind, calm, and respectful approach, with a genuine care for supporting older individuals
• Confident driver with a full UK driving licence and own vehicle
• Able to cook healthy, home-style meals
• Comfortable supporting someone with mild dementia
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
