Housekeeper Role

Our Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our homes, ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy, and well-maintained. As a champion for hygiene and infection control, you’ll have access to specialised equipment and materials to create a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, their friends, and families. Some residents enjoy participating in simple cleaning and laundry tasks, so you may sometimes receive extra help during your routines.

Joining us means becoming part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside passionate team members dedicated to providing a safe environment filled with warmth and kindness for all who live and work in our homes.

Benefits

The Trust is a great place to work; we've been providing care for almost 1,000 years and are the second-largest not-for-profit provider in the UK. We reinvest every penny into our residents, colleagues, and care homes. Our benefits include a competitive salary, training, and development opportunities, along with safety measures like PPE and daily testing.

  • 28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
  • Higher pay rates at weekends
  • Free uniform
  • Free DBS
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Refer a Friend scheme with rewards for successful recommendations
  • Blue Light Card and “My Rewards” discounts on shopping, days out, restaurants, and more
About You

You should be comfortable working in an elderly care setting and able to relate to residents in a caring and sensitive manner. Experience in housekeeping is beneficial but not essential, as we provide comprehensive training. We value pride in your work, good communication skills, teamwork, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to excel every day.
