Job summary

N Family Club in St Albans is seeking a proactive Housekeeper to maintain a safe, welcoming and spotless nursery environment for children, families and staff. You will manage cleaning across classrooms, kitchens and bathrooms, while upholding COSHH and health & safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep classrooms, bathrooms and kitchens sparkling clean.
• Maintain a warm and welcoming environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Ensure cleanliness and stock of cleaning supplies.
• Spot faulty equipment and report to management for quick fixes.
• Manage laundry and ensure right cleaning products are stocked.
• Water plants and keep the nursery fresh and bright.
• Follow COSHH guidelines to keep everyone safe.
• Welcome deliveries and keep items organized.

Your key responsibilities

• Work with the nursery team to keep everything sparkling clean and running smoothly.
• Help make the nursery feel warm and welcoming for children, parents, and visitors.
• Keep bathrooms and changing areas spotless.
• Spot any broken or faulty equipment and let management know so we can fix it fast.
• Stay on top of laundry and make sure we’re always stocked with the right cleaning supplies.
• Water the plants and keep the nursery feeling fresh and bright.
• Use the right products for a nursery environment, following COSHH guidelines to keep everyone safe.
• Welcome deliveries and make sure everything is kept in the right place.
• Be our hygiene hero – keeping our nursery safe, clean, and shining every day.

Our Housekeepers should have...

• Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role.
• Knowledge of COSHH guidelines and an understanding of Health & Safety practices.
