Job summary

Butcombe Group is looking for a friendly, reliable Housekeeper to join our team at the Butcombe Boutique Inns. You will keep guest rooms and public areas spotless, support a welcoming atmosphere, and help maintain high cleanliness standards across the venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or cleaning roles is beneficial.
• A positive, proactive approach to teamwork and guest safety.
• Comfort with daily cleaning tasks and routine housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation in guest rooms and public areas.
• Carry out daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising.
• Change linen, make beds, replenish supplies for guest readiness.
• Clean and restock toilets and maintain facilities throughout the day.
• Respond promptly to spills and cleaning requests; report maintenance issues.
• Support the team to keep areas welcoming, safe and well presented.

What You'll Be Doing

• Maintaining exceptionally high standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms and public areas
• Carrying out daily cleaning tasks including hoovering, mopping, dusting, and sanitising all relevant areas
• Changing beds, replenishing linen, and ensuring rooms are fully prepared for guest arrival
• Cleaning and restocking toilets and ensuring all facilities are well maintained throughout the day
• Responding to spills, mess, and general cleaning requirements quickly and efficiently
• Supporting the wider team to keep all areas of the business looking welcoming, safe, and well presented
• Reporting any maintenance issues or repairs needed to the management team
• Working in line with all health & safety, hygiene, and company standards, always bringing a positive, can-do attitude
