Job summary

Hartford Court Care Home in Portsmouth is looking for a part-time Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for residents. You will work as part of a caring team, dusting rooms, cleaning bathrooms and logging tasks to meet high standards.

We expect a compassionate, detail‑oriented individual with good communication skills and a flexible approach to working hours. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, caring nature and patient approach.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to use IT systems.
• Good organisation and planning with attention to detail.
• Understanding of health and safety and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean, safe and hygienic to high standards.
• Dust resident rooms, clean bathrooms and maintain logs as required.

Location:Hartford Court Care Home, Catherington Place, Portsmouth

Type of employment: Part time - 28 hours per week

The Role

As a Housekeeper, you will ensure the home is kept clean and safe at all times while meeting hygiene and cleanliness standards, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are dusting a resident’s room and reminiscing with them about their previous job, cleaning a bathroom, caring for houseplants or completing the cleaning logs, you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
