Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper at Springfield Nursing Home in Shanklin to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. You will perform a range of housekeeping duties, support infection control, and help uphold hygiene standards each shift.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, caring nature and a customer-focused approach.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear spoken and written English.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities with good time management.

• Good knowledge of health and safety practices, infection control and COSHH.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean, safe and hygienic in line with standards.
• Assist with housekeeping tasks in residents’ rooms, bathrooms and common areas.
• Maintain cleaning logs and report any issues promptly.
• Contribute to a warm, calm and caring atmosphere for residents.

Location: Springfield Nursing Home, 26 Arthurs Hill, Shanklin, Isle of Wight, PO37 6EX

Role : HousekeeperBank

As a Housekeeper, you will ensure the home is kept clean and safe at all times while meeting hygiene and cleanliness standards, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are dusting a resident’s room and reminiscing with them about their previous job, cleaning a bathroom, caring for houseplants or completing the cleaning logs, you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
