Job description

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Housekeeper to join our friendly team ensuring a high standard of upkeep is achieved and maintained at our Murdostoun Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre in Wishaw. We provide specialist rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from an acquired brain injury and we also provide residential care for individuals with progressive neurological conditions.

What you'll be working:

Full time

33.75 hours per week

5 days over 7

What you'll be doing:

  1. Work as part of the on site domestic team ensuring a high standard of upkeep is achieved and maintained.
  2. General cleaning of premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, baths, work showers, surfaces, cupboards etc. using designated equipment and re-stocking materials as required.
  3. Carry out periodic cleaning, such as corridor walls, windows and carpets using the appropriate machines/tools.
  4. Correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment, adhering to COSHH procedures.
  5. Ensure a smart appearance wearing the company uniform provided.
  6. Provide high levels of Customer Care at all times.
  7. Complete all statutory and mandatory training, whether it be delivered face-to-face or via e-learning, deemed relevant to their role.

What you'll have:

  1. A genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
  2. Previous experience as a Housekeeper from either a Healthcare or Domestic cleaning background.
  3. Experience working unsupervised and on your own initiative.
  4. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
