Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Housekeeper in Hatton, United Kingdom, to deliver clean, hygienic spaces and friendly service in a busy hospitality setting. You will join a team that values teamwork, inclusivity and development opportunities, with on-the-job training and a focus on customer experience.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning surfaces and areas, setting up lounge spaces, and ensuring safe storage of cleaning materials while maintaining a positive, collaborative work

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or busy setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and approachable demeanor, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• To clean all surfaces, furnishings and fittings using specified equipment and products.
• Maintain supplies of cleaning materials and ensure safe storage.
• Use and store cleaning equipment safely; report defects.
• Provide friendly, efficient and hygienic service to customers.
• Set up tables, chairs and lounge furniture appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize toilet cubicles, showers, tables, counters and service areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation.

Job description

• To clean as appropriate all surfaces, furnishings and fittings using the specified equipment and cleaning products.
• To maintain sufficient supplies of cleaning materials and consumables relevant to the working area and ensure that they are stored safely and securely at all times.
• To use, maintain and ensure the safe storage of cleaning equipment and to report defects to the appropriate person.
• To provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers.
• Set up tables, chairs, and other lounge furniture and arrange them appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize toilet cubicles, showers, tables, counters, and service areas regularly.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation
• Be aware of COSHH regulations and use appropriate protective equipment when using chemicals.
• Adhering to dress code policies. Demonstrate excellence.
• Adhere to health & safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Follow proper hand hygiene procedures and maintain personal cleanliness.
• To treat your team members as you would expect to be treated.
• To co-operate with all team members and undertake duties in the cleaning areas as requested to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered at all times
• To assist and share knowledge and experience with team members as required
• To report any accidents or near misses to your Supervisor as soon as they occur
• To ensure compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials/equipment necessary for cleaning tasks.
• To complete training courses as required.
