Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, is recruiting a full-time Housekeeper to deliver outstanding cleaning services for Healthcare environments contracted to 37.5 hours per week. The role involves cleaning a variety of areas, maintaining high standards, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Key duties include dusting, sweeping, mopping, sanitising touchpoints, and disposing of waste.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning in a similar role is required.
• Customer service orientation is important for interactions with staff and visitors.
• Good communication with customers and team members is essential.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team, with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain a wide range of areas within the building to a high standard.
• Dust, sweep, polish, mop and vacuum designated areas.
• Sanitise surfaces, floors, windows and touchpoints regularly.
• Perform additional cleaning duties as required, including spill cleanups.
• Empty and dispose of bin waste and keep areas presentable and safe for visitors.
• Follow health and safety guidelines when using equipment.

We're currently recruiting a full time Housekeeper to join our dedicated team to deliver outstanding cleaning services for Healthcare, contracted to 37.5 hours per week. As one of our committed Housekeepers, you will help to deliver on our promise to always create the best and brightest experiences for our staff and visitors. Here's an idea of what your shift patterns will be: 5 out of 7 days Your key responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning and maintaining a wide range of areas within the building
• Dusting, sweeping, polishing, mopping, and vacuuming designated areas to a high standard
• Ensuring surface areas, floors, windows, and other touchpoints are sanitised regularly
• Performing additional cleaning duties as and when required, such as mopping up spillages quickly and efficiently
• Emptying and disposing of bin waste
• Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and safe for visitors by following the required policies and procedures
• Following all health & safety guidelines when using equipment
• Have cleaning experience in a similar role
• Be passionate about customer service
• Effectively communicate with customers and other team members
• Be able to work individually and as part of a team
• Have a flexible approach to working
