Job summary

Edwardstow Court is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to uphold high cleanliness standards across our care home environments. You will work as part of a caring team, using specialised equipment and PPE to maintain safe, tidy spaces for residents and visitors.

The role emphasizes hygiene, infection control, and a supportive approach to daily tasks. Training and development are provided to help you excel in your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping in care settings is welcome; training will be provided.
• Good communication and teamwork are important when supporting residents.
• Caring and empathetic approach to residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in residents' rooms and common areas.
• Use PPE and specialised equipment to ensure hygiene and safety.
• Assist with laundry tasks and support residents with daily routines when needed.

Our Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our homes, ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy and maintained at all times. A champion for hygiene and infection control within the home, you'll have access to specialised equipment and materials to ensure you can create a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment for residents, as well as their friends and families. Some of our residents love to join in with simple cleaning and laundry tasks, so you may sometimes find that you have extra help as you carry out your daily routines.

You'll be comfortable in an elderly care setting, with the ability to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner. If you've worked in a housekeeping role before, then that's great as you'll have a good idea of what to expect. But if housekeeping as a profession is new to you, then don't worry - we'll provide all the training you need to start your new career with us. What's more important to us is that you take pride in your work, you're good at communicating with people, you enjoy working as part of a team, you'll be keen to learn and will want to excel at your job every day.
