Job description

Hobbs Field (Adults Residential Service) are looking for a Housekeeper to join our team on a part-time basis. Find out more below.

Salary: £12.26 per hour - £12.45 per hour (annual wage = £15,344 - £15,585)

Working Pattern: 15 hours p/w (5 hour shifts Mon - Fri)

Contract Length: Permanent

Location: Hobbs Field, Horsham

*Please note that the exact rota will be discussed at interview in more detail.

To become a Housekeeper with us you will be:

  1. Have a keen eye for maintaining cleanliness and order.

  4. Have good English skills to communicate with the people we care for, their families and the team.

About Hobbs Field

At Hobbs Field we seek to create a family home for all the people in our care. We have an established and experienced team; we are focused on a person-centred approach to our care and believe in empowering the people we support to have as much input in their care plans as possible. The Role

In this role you will be responsible for:

  1. Maintaining the home to a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
  2. Cleaning residential rooms including communal areas, offices, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  3. It's an active role - for example, you'll be lifting or carrying equipment as required.
  4. You will need to be flexible to ensure the needs of the service are fulfilled.
Skills

  1. Ability to undertake a wide range of cleaning tasks.
  2. Able to communicate effectively with the people we care for, staff, and visitors.
  3. Flexible approach to allocated duties and work as part of a team.
  4. Sensitive to the needs of those we care for.
Qualifications and Experience
  1. Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  2. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety.
  3. Knowledge of COSHH regulations. (Desirable)
  4. Experience of using a range of cleaning equipment including powered equipment. (Desirable)
  5. Experience of working as a cleaner in paid employment. (Desirable)
