Job summary

Hutchinson Care is seeking a reliable cleaner to join our care home team in Antrim. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, ensure infection control and safety standards are met, and maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas.

Training will be provided, including essential Food Hygiene training Level 2 and 3. The role offers on-site work, a competitive rate of pay, and opportunities for study support and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Infection Control Procedures and PPE
• May be required to work in other homes in the business at short notice to assist with staffing levels
• Ensure cleaning of all areas of the home to the highest standard
• Organise deep cleaning duties when required
• Complete documentation as and when required
• Ensure cleaning and laundry supplies are stored safely and used to minimise wastage
• Attend all necessary training
• Participate in duties as directed by management
• Report and record any breaks or damages to managers
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to adapt to unexpected situations
• Promote good housekeeping and health and safety, maintain property
• Keep cleaning store rooms neat and stocked
• Order stock with cost awareness
• Attend staff meetings when required
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Keep records up to date and inform management of changes
• Work well within a team
• Be organised and trustworthy
• Take pride in your work
• Remain physically fit to perform cleaning duties

• You may be required to work in other homes in the business at short notice to assist with staffing levels


• To ensure cleaning of all areas of the home are to the highest standard


• To organise deep cleaning duties when required


• Complete documentation as and when required

• Participate in any other duties detailed by management that may be considered relevant


• Report and record any breaks or damages to your Manager/or Deputy Manager


• Demonstrate a positive attitude when carrying out duties and be willing to put in an extra effort if an unexpected situation arrives


• Promote good housekeeping, in respect of health and safety and ensure that there is no neglect of property and ensuring a well maintained area of care


• Keep all cleaning store rooms neat and tidy as well as ensuring there is enough stock


• Order stock as and when required keeping in mind costs and budgets


• To attend staff meetings as and when required
