Job summary

Lake House Care Home in Adderbury is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain clean and safe living spaces for residents. The role involves general housekeeping duties, adhering to hygiene standards, and supporting residents as needed.

You will join a caring team in a warm, supportive environment with training provided where needed. Weekend shifts are included on a rotating basis, with enhanced rates for weekends.

Qualifications

• You’ll be comfortable in an elderly care setting, with the ability to relate to residents in a caring and sensitive manner.
• If you’ve worked in housekeeping before, that’s great; training will be provided if it’s new to you.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in rooms and living spaces.
• Uphold hygiene and infection control within the home.
• Assist with daily routines, including light cleaning and laundry tasks as residents participate.

Pay rate: £13.14 per hour( weekend and NVQ enhancements available)

Contracted hours:30 hours per week

Shift times: 8am -2pm working alternate weekends

ABOUT OUR ROLE

Our Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in our homes, ensuring that every room and living space is clean, tidy and maintained at all times. A champion for hygiene and infection control within the home, you’ll have access to specialised equipment and materials to ensure you can create a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment for residents, as well as their friends and families. Some of our residents love to join in with simple cleaning and laundry tasks, so you may sometimes find that you have extra help as you carry out your daily routines.

In joining us, you’ll also become part of our extended family. You’ll work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing a safe environment, as well as warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.

This home is set in an attractive residential cul-de-sac in the picturesque rural village of Adderbury, close to Banbury. Lake House offers a welcoming, warm atmosphere and is divided into four households that offer residential, respite and early-stage dementia care.

If you’ve worked in a housekeeping role before, then that’s great as you’ll have a good idea of what to expect. But if housekeeping as a profession is new to you, then don’t worry – we’ll provide all the training you need to start your new career with us. What’s more important to us is that you take pride in your work, you’re good at communicating with people, you enjoy working as part of a team, you’ll be keen to learn and will want to excel at your job every day.
