Job summary

Shiplake College is seeking a dedicated House Pastoral Leader to support the wellbeing and presentation of pupils within the House. The role requires a calm, empathetic, and organized individual who communicates well with pupils, parents and guardians and remains discreet in all matters.

The successful candidate will supervise daily care and provide a welcoming, supportive environment, with confidentiality and integrity at the core. Term-time only, Fridays 7:30–5, plus INSET; overtime available.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral or child welfare setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, parents and guardians.
• Discretion, tact and diplomacy essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils and support their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.
• Contribute to high standards of pastoral care within the House.
• Liaise with Housemaster/mistress and staff to maintain wellbeing and presentation of pupils.
