McCarthy Stone is the UK’s leading retirement living provider. We are recruiting for a House Manager to join our team at our Birch Court development in Morriston, Swansea.

Built in 2016, Birch Court is a Retirement Living development with 49 apartments designed for those over 60, offering excellent on-site facilities within beautiful grounds.

Hours: 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday.

Hourly rate: £21,490.34 per annum.

Contract Type: Permanent.

About The Role Of a House Manager

We seek a customer-centric House Manager to uphold our high standards of service. The key role is to enhance our Homeowners’ quality of life and support their independence. This diverse role includes customer service, front-of-house duties, and facilities management. The successful candidate will foster a strong community through event coordination and regular meetings to update residents and address their needs.

Some of the House Manager duties include:
  • Welcoming new Homeowners and assisting them in settling in.
  • Providing professional front-of-house service and greeting visitors warmly.
  • Being the primary contact for Homeowners, offering help, support, and advice.
  • Collaborating with partners and suppliers to ensure smooth estate operations.
  • Representing McCarthy Stone to families and friends of residents.
  • Handling issues with sensitivity, respecting privacy and confidentiality.
  • Managing gardens and grounds to ensure a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.
  • Facilitating social activities and promoting an enjoyable retirement lifestyle.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
