Overview

About the Role: We are currently seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our dedicated team in a nursing home setting. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness across all areas of the nursing home (resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, kitchens, etc.).
  • Carry out daily, weekly, and deep cleaning tasks in line with infection control standards.
  • Safely use cleaning materials and equipment, following COSHH guidelines.
  • Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, and ironing residents\' personal clothing and home linen.
  • Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain hygiene standards throughout.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns promptly.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to support the overall smooth running of the home.
Requirements
  • Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience (preferably in a care home, hospital, or similar setting).
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A caring and respectful approach towards residents.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
