Job description

We are looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work with an amazing Primary school based in Durham. The school offers exceptional teaching facilities to encourage students with various needs and recognizing signs of crisis.

Your Role as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

  1. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  2. Assist in the development and implementation of personalized learning plans.
  3. Support children with additional needs, including ASD/Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other special educational needs.
  4. Ensure all legal, safety, and individual requirements are met.

Qualifications:

  1. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable).
  2. Experience supporting SEND students.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
