West Herts College in Watford, Hertfordshire is seeking an hourly paid Lecturer in Sport to deliver both practical and theory sessions across Sport Programmes from Level 1 to Level 3. The role supports learners with industry-informed teaching and is based at the Watford campus.

Teaching hours are around 15–20 per week across several days from September to July. Candidates should bring industry experience and are supported to gain teaching qualifications.

Hourly Paid Lecturer in Sport

Salary: From £33.91 (unqualified) to £36.63 (qualified)

The School of Sport and Travel are looking for an hourly paid lecturer who is passionate about making a difference to the lives and careers of our students.

The successful candidate will be capable of developing a wide range of learning materials for practical and theory lessons, which engage and stimulate students. You must be confident that you can contribute to a team that is always striving to improve.

You will be teaching and supporting across a range of Sport Programmes including Careers in sports industry, Physiology, Anatomy, Fitness Testing, Sports coaching, Careers in Sport & Self Employment from Level's 1 to Level 3.

The successful candidate should have a good level of industry experience in sport or sport science that can be shared within the classroom environment. This role will involve working around 15-20 teaching hours spread over several days of the week set from September to July.

Teaching experience is beneficial but not essential; the college will support the successful candidate to gain relevant teacher qualifications.
