Warwick College Group is seeking an hourly paid Lecturer in Maths to teach GCSE/FS Maths across multiple sites in the UK. The role is casual and on-site, with duties including teaching, preparation, assessment, and supporting quality systems.

DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required, with training provided where necessary. Applicants should hold a degree in Maths or related disciplines and possess GCSE Maths and English at A-C, or be willing to achieve them within 12 months.

Hourly Paid Lecturer in Maths - multi site

This role is required at multiple sites: Leamington Spa, Rugby and Moreton Morrell on a Casual basis. Ideally someone who has some experience teaching GCSE or FS.

This role is based in the UK and will be working on site in our UK based College.

In order to comply with our mandatory pre-employment checks, the successful candidate will be required to provide original identification documents in person to our UK based People Services Department.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS (THE CHILDREN’S ACT 1989)

Any offers of appointment will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly CRB), a certificate of good conduct if applicable, plus receipt of satisfactory references, Occupational Health clearance, an understanding of safeguarding and qualifications verification. An Enhanced DBS check is required for this position as you will be working within 'Regulated Activity' within a specific place (i.e. the College).

This role is classed as working within Regulated Activity. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. By applying for this position, you agree to an Enhanced DBS check in line with DBS regulations.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

A degree in Maths or related disciplines such as Engineering

GCSE grade A-C or equivalent qualification in Maths and English, or willingness to achieve these within 12 months

Teacher Training Qualification or the willingness to undertake the courses required to gain this.

Experience of teaching GCSE and FS Maths, preferably in Further Education

A willingness to undertake continuing professional development.

In order to ensure our students are being taught the latest skills there is a requirement for Lecturers to maintain their CPD and update industry specific skills on an annual basis.
