Overview

The School of Creative Industries is looking for enthusiastic, industry experienced, and highly motivated Lecturer to join our Interior Design & Architecture teaching team based at our Luton Campus. The successful candidate will be employed on an hourly paid basis, working 6.25 hours per week across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Working closely with our students, stakeholders and local/national employers, you will strive for continuous improvement and higher standards for the benefit of the whole community. We aim to do the ordinary things extraordinarily well. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with contemporary design skills to lecture across our large, flagship course. You will be delivering both industry skills and knowledge to our eager students, with knowledge of contemporary design skills/software essential as you would be leading CAD across the course.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and practical sessions across the Interior Design & Architecture course, covering industry skills and knowledge.
• Lead CAD across the course, integrating contemporary design software and visualisation tools.
• Support a diverse range of students with an adaptive and flexible teaching style, fostering development and high standards.
• Provide prompt, accurate, and detailed assessment of student work at key stages during the academic year.
• Contribute to course development to ensure alignment with current industry practices and needs.
• Collaborate with students, stakeholders, and employers to enhance learning opportunities and employability.
