A leading creative education institution in Leeds is seeking hourly paid lecturers for BA/BSc programmes in Audio Production and Music Business. SAE is launching a new campus in Leeds in September 2025. We are seeking to hire a team of hourly paid lecturers to deliver on the below programmes, which will run at both sites.
- BA/BSc (Hons) Audio Production
- BA/BSc (Hons) Music Business
We are looking to build a candidate pool of industry practitioners and educators who can demonstrate current experience and a commitment to supporting the development of creative professionals.
Candidates should have excellent technical knowledge and an ability to engage and connect with students across all undergraduate levels. You will have a credible professional/industry profile, evidence of high-quality teaching practice, and experience in the delivery of further or higher education programmes. A degree in a relevant discipline is expected. Teaching and/or postgraduate qualifications are desirable but not essential.
Specifically, for Audio Production candidates should, as a minimum, have experience of the following:
· Pro Tools for editing and recording
· Creating electronic music with Ableton Live (including instrumentation and arrangement)
· Microphones and loudspeakers
· Acoustics including basic maths (e.g. for decibels, logarithms)
· Studio signal flow and routing
· Live sound
· Recording and mixing
