Hourly Lifestyle / Care Assistant to Sports Journalism Uni Student - Days

Are you a recent graduate and not sure what to do next? Or are you someone with a passion for making a positive impact in others’ lives?

We have an exciting opportunity for you to become a Personal Assistant to a Sports Journalism student studying at The University of UCFB Wembley. Join her team of PAs to support her daily living and personal care. This is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful difference!

Rate of Pay & Benefits:

• Start Date – ASAP
• Hours – Day shifts 7am to 7pm / 36 hours per week + sickness & holiday cover
• Pay - £15 per hour
• Location – Wembley UCFB University during term time / Croydon at home
• 5.6 weeks' holiday pro rata

About our Client

Our client has Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2, which affects her voluntary muscles. She uses a powered wheelchair, has a compromised respiratory system, and receives most nutrition via a gastrostomy. She enjoys hobbies like watching Crystal Palace Football, Formula 1, listening to music, and streaming on Netflix and Disney+.

She leads an active social life, meeting friends and family, and enjoys going out to social events, such as parties, pubs, and nights out.

“I am a young female and although I am in a wheelchair, I like to get out and be social. It’s important to me that my carers are involved in activities and enjoy spending time with me.

I value my privacy and sometimes prefer to be left alone in my room or with friends, as long as I am comfortable and reachable by phone.

Appearance matters to me, and I like to choose my outfits and hairstyles. It would be helpful if you can do hair, but I’m sure anyone is better than my mum!"

She also has her own accessible vehicle, which can be driven by carers with a full license. When studying in London, she mainly uses public transport, but the car can be used for outings when at home. She enjoys streaming content like Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+.
