Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our client with a spinal cord injury, who is living in her home based in Wiltshire. She is looking for a team of care assistants to provide her with personal care and support for independent living. Shift Pattern:

Days 8am - 8pm & Nights 8pm - 8am

Rate Of Pay & Benefits

• Rate of Pay: £15 per hour Mon to Fri / £17 per hour Sat & Sun
• Post-probation increase to £17 per hour Mon to Fri / £19 Sat & Sun & £22 per hour on Bank Holidays
• Holidays: 5.6 weeks pro rata

About Our Client

Our client is seeking a Personal Assistant to join her current team. She is an outgoing lady with a spinal cord injury who requires support with all aspects of her daily life, including personal and clinical care, household management, and general support. An interest in learning clinical skills is essential.

She leads an active social life, frequently meeting friends and family, and running her own business. Respect for her privacy and home is paramount. Prior care experience is preferred but full training will be provided.

Since she enjoys sports and outdoor activities, this role is suitable for a young adult female PA with previous care experience.

About The Job

This role is vital in enabling our client to maintain her busy work and social life, living life to the fullest.

Our Client Needs Assistance With

• Personal Care: Bathing, Dressing, Toileting
• Complex Care: Transferring, Bed turning, Medical care
• Use of medical equipment: Tracheostomy, Ventilator overnight
• Health Care: Administering medication, using medical equipment
• Driving: Confidently operate the client's adapted automatic van
• Daily Living: Cooking, Shopping
• Social Support: Accompanying to social events
• Housekeeping: Cleaning, Ironing, Washing

Skills & Requirements

• UK automatic/manual driving license (must be 25 or over for insurance)
• Team player and adaptable to a well-established team
• Fluent in English
• Respectful of privacy and confidentiality
• Non-smoker
• Experience with complex care needs (desirable)
• Availability for on-call duties
• Good computer skills for administrative tasks
• No pet allergies
