Job summary

AB World Foods Limited is seeking a Hotfill Technician in Leigh to set up and supervise production lines, ensuring adherence to required standards. The role runs Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00, with potential shift changes. You will work to Health & Safety standards, maintaining paperwork and monitoring performance on the line.

You will lead line operatives, escalate issues, and provide day-to-day coverage while supporting continuous improvements and GMP compliance across the team.

The role of Line Technician is to set up and supervise the production lines ensuring adherence to the required standard. The shift pattern for the role is Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00, with the flexibility to change shift if required.

What's the role about?

Your role as a Hotfill Technician will involve cooperating with colleagues to ensure compliance with and the progression of Health & Safety standards, speaking up for improvements when needed. You will be responsible for setting up the production lines as well as coordinating and supervising the line operatives ensuring you and the team work to agreed operating standards. The role is also responsible for maintaining accurate process paperwork as well as monitoring and recording performance and reporting issues to Engineers and Team Leaders. You will be expected to carry out first line investigations into any issues arising and use judgment and initiative to maintain quality and carry out day to day tasks. You will also be required to provide ad hoc operational cover.
