Job Purpose:

To manage and analyze costs, aiding our hotels in making informed financial decisions, improving efficiency and profitability, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost analysis of business operations.
  • Collaborating on budgets and forecasts based on cost insights.
  • Investigating variances between planned and actual costs.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Providing accurate cost data for financial reporting.
  • Developing strategies for cost control and profitability maximization.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Supporting management decisions with cost insights.
  • Utilizing segment analysis and analytics software such as PMS.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile trade payable aging.
  • Post payroll journals into PAYE, PSA, and pension systems.
  • Participate in P&L reviews with hotel teams and GMs.
  • Finalize cost forecasts with GMs and the cluster team.
  • Review invoice accuracy from procurement into NetSuite.
  • Own the procure-to-pay process.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building complex reports.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar) or studying towards, with at least five years’ experience.
  • Experience in analysis projects and presenting insights.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools like Netsuite or Fairmas.
  • Attention to detail and ownership of output accuracy.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Understanding of hospitality financial analysis and statistics.
  • Hospitality industry experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with controls and governance such as P2P, R2R, and O2C processes.
