Job summary

NHS Shetland is seeking a full-time Generic Support Worker (Band 2) in Hotel Services to join the Cleaning department. The role involves delivering cleaning and support services across NHS Shetland sites, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The position is predominantly Monday to Friday with occasional evening, night and weekend shifts, with enhanced pay for those shifts.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills, flexible, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
• Full training and induction provided, with ongoing support to reach full competence.
• Full driving licence desirable for work across Shetland sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver essential cleaning and support services across NHS Shetland.
• Support across Domestic Services areas, offering flexibility and variety in day-to-day duties.
• Help ensure facilities remain safe, comfortable and fit for purpose for patients, staff and visitors.
