To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication.

We have available 5 fixed term vacancies with varying hours and shift patterns as follows for Hotel Services Assistant vacancies which have arisen at Prince Charles Hospital at Merthyr Tydfil.
37.5 hour vacancy = 8am to 16.00pm, 5 shifts a week, Mon to Fri
20 hour vacancy= 16.00 to 20.00 5 shifts per week, Mon to Fri
19 hour vacancy = 4 days at 4 hours 9.00am to 13.00pm & 1 day 3 hours 9am to 12pm, Monday to Friday
16 hour vacancy = 4 days at 3 hrs and 1 day at 4hrs, Monday to Friday
25 hour vacancy = 5 days at 5hrs, Monday to Sunday rota
The main duties of the post include the delivery of cleaning services at ward & Department level within Prince Charles Hospital. Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization. Also the successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites. The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
