Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Hotel Sales Leader to lead the team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Waltham Abbey.

The Role:As Hotel Sales Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining and building strong relationships with our key clients, be accountable for proactively soliciting and managing special corporate accounts, group and catering-related opportunities along with total account management of the existing account portfolio. Your focus is to build long term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales budgets to promote brand loyalty and increase market share.

You Will Be Responsible For, But Not Limited To

  • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Develops relationships within the community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides accurate, complete and effective turnover to Event Management.
  • Identifies new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
  • Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  • Ensures that the Senior Event Manager and their team are working effectively and efficiently to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships within the whole hotel.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.

Our Ideal Candidate:You will have a proven track record in a similar role within a hotel environment. Experience in coaching and developing team members, driving sales and delivering financial results. You will have a warm people orientated demeanour, a gift for paying attention to the smallest details and a positive outlook and outgoing personality.
