The Malone Hotel, based in Belfast, currently has an opportunity for an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome. This will also include managing reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, addressing guest inquiries, and coordinating with other departments in the Malone Hotel to ensure a seamless guest experience at all times.
There are opportunities for both full & part time contracts, with the potential to introduce a four-day working week for full-time staff.
About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanour.
Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, including issuing room keys and processing payments.
Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Process and confirm room reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately through the hotel’s booking system.
Maintain up-to-date records of room availability and pricing.
Maintain the front desk area in a tidy and professional manner.
Manage incoming calls and emails, redirecting them as appropriate.
Prepare and manage daily reports, including occupancy and revenue reports.
Handle guest billing, receipts, and financial transactions securely and accurately.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in Hotel Management Software and basic computer skills (MS Office).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
Professional appearance and demeanour.
