Job Overview

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Front of House Hotel Receptionist / Front Desk Agent with excellent client-facing customer service and administrative skills. The role is based at a well-established family-run hotel in Hope Cove, South Devon.

Location & Job Details

Location: Hope Cove, South Devon (Accommodation available). Full-Time, Permanent role. Working hours: 40-48 hours/week, shift work, 5 days out of 7.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests, assist with registration, and ensure reservation details are correct.
  • Check guests out, process payments, and relay feedback to management.
  • Coordinate with other departments and assist guests during their stay.
  • Ensure proper handovers and observe security procedures.
  • Upsell to maximize revenue and maintain a tidy, welcoming front desk.
  • Support Food and Beverage service as needed, with potential for Duty Management after probation.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in hotel front desk operations.
  • Flexible to work morning and afternoon shifts.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
  • Experience with PMS systems like Guest Line Reslynx and Resdiary is highly desirable.
