Job description

Alfa Leisureplex Group has an opportunity for a Hotel Receptionist to join the team at The Norfolk Royale Hotel, Bournemouth. As a Hotel Receptionist, you will work 35 hours per week, including weekends, with an hourly rate of £12.00, which will increase to £12.60 in April 2025. You will report to the Head Receptionist and will be part of the central hub of the hotel operation, where first impressions are everything. You will be responsible for setting the tone for the hotel, delivering a first-class customer experience where the word 'no' does not exist.

Your tasks will include:

  1. Checking guests in and out
  2. Dealing with general enquiries
  3. Performing varied administrative tasks, from allocating rooming lists to processing invoices
  4. Occasionally serving drinks in the bar throughout the day

This is a diverse role that includes professionally handling reception enquiries and being empathetic towards our guests.

Essential Skills:

  1. Experience in a similar role
  2. Strong communication skills
  3. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanour
  4. Being extremely well organised and computer literate
  5. Flexible and able to keep calm under pressure, even in challenging situations
