The Laslett is looking for a passionate and experienced Hotel Manager to lead our team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This is a hands-on role requiring a mix of operational expertise, leadership, and commercial acumen. You'll work closely with the General Manager, inspiring the team while maintaining our unique luxury boutique philosophy.

Your Role & Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Operations
  • Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring an outstanding guest experience
  • Act as the face of the hotel—greeting VIPs and building guest relationships
  • Lead a multi-skilled team across front office, housekeeping, F&B, and engineering
  • Maintain The Laslett’s signature modern luxury and ensure service excellence
  • Manage FOURTH HR software, Opera & Micros for payroll & rotas
  • Work with contractors and suppliers to maintain high operational standards
  • Deliver financial targets, including wage costs and direct operating budgets
  • Oversee cash management, deposits, and revenue reporting
  • Work with the Revenue team to identify market trends and maximize bookings
  • Monitor and enhance guest feedback on TripAdvisor, Booking.com, and OTAs
  • Engage with the local community to strengthen The Laslett’s presence
  • Build brand loyalty and increase direct bookings & repeat stays
  • Identify cross-sales opportunities with other Living Rooms properties
  • Support marketing efforts and guest engagement initiatives
Compliance & Team Development
  • Ensure all health & safety, fire, and food safety regulations are met
  • Manage staff records, recruitment, contracts, and training
  • Work with the General Manager on team training & development initiatives
