Job summary

AAB is seeking a Management Accountant on a fixed-term 1-year contract in Glasgow. You will own the monthly management accounting cycle for the hotel portfolio, review P&L and balance sheet, and liaise with auditors during year-end audits.

The role requires hotel accounting experience, qualification (ICAS/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) or evidence of experience, and strong Excel skills. A hybrid working model is offered with a supportive culture at AAB.

Qualifications

• Qualified by experience or professional qualification (ICAS/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent).
• Hotel accounting experience with management accounting experience preferred; supervision experience desirable.
• Strong IT skills and high proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly management accounting cycle for the hotel portfolio.
• Review P&L and balance sheet, identify variances and risks and take action.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly VAT returns and support VAT inspections.
• Coach the Finance Assistant and improve daily processes.
• Ensure bank reconciliations and AP controls are robust; drive process improvements.
• Prepare year-end audit files and liaise with auditors.
