Job summary

Kitchen Team Member – Darlington Town Centre Premier Inn is seeking a proactive team player to prepare, cook and serve meals that contribute to a great guest stay. You’ll handle breakfast prep, dinner service, and help keep the kitchen clean and stocked, working closely with the hotel team.

No prior hotel experience is required; training is provided and a strong team ethic is valued. Evening and weekend shifts are included, with a fixed-term contract through January 2027.

Kitchen Team Member – Darlington Town Centre Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed term contract until 07/01/2027 – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 16 contracted hours per week.

Location: Darlington Town Centre Premier Inn , Unit 3, Feethams Leisure, Feethams, County Durham, DL1 5AD

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you’re reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
