Job summary

Premier Inn in Dorchester is looking for a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and serve meals for guests. You’ll work with a team, contribute to breakfast and dinner service, and ensure every plate leaves the kitchen ready to impress.

This permanent role offers 25 contracted hours per week, shifts that include evenings and weekends, and training from day one, plus staff discounts on stays and pension options. No hotel experience is required; willingness to learn is valued.

Kitchen Team Member – Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You'll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone's stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you'll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent - we don't do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 25 contracted hours per week.

Location: 5 Pope Street, Dorset, DT1 1GA

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you'll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you'll help make sure every guest gets a meal they'll enjoy. You'll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

This isn't a role where you'll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you're willing to learn, we'll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don't mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
