Job summary

Whitbread’s Pontefract North Premier Inn is hiring a Kitchen Team Member to support breakfast and dinner service. The role is 20 hours per week, with a permanent contract and a pay rate up to £13.06 per hour. You’ll prepare ingredients, cook meals and help plate dishes for guests staying at the hotel.

You'll join a supportive team, get training from day one and have opportunities to learn and progress within Premier Inn. This is a hands-on kitchen role requiring teamwork and reliability.

We're currently recruiting in our Pontefract North Premier Inn. Working 20 hours per week, paying up to £13.06 per hour.

You'll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone's stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you'll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent - we don't do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 20 contracted hours per week.

Location: Pontefract North Premier Inn, Pontefract Road, Knottingley, Pontefract, Yorkshire, WF11 0BU

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

This isn't a role where you'll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you're willing to learn, we'll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don't mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
