Job summary

Whitbread is hiring a Kitchen Team Member at Bridgwater Gateway Premier Inn. The role is 30 contracted hours per week with a pay rate of up to £13.06 per hour, permanent contract and evenings/weekends shifts.

You’ll prepare, cook and plate meals, receive deliveries and help keep the kitchen organized. Great teamwork and a proactive attitude are key as you contribute to guest experiences during busy service periods.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 30 contracted hours per week.

Location: Bridgwater Gateway (M5, J24) Premier Inn - Poplar Court, North Petherton, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 6ZG

Shifts: Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You Don’t Need Hotel Experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You Might Have Worked As a

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before. What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
