Job summary

Premier Inn in Barnstaple is hiring a Kitchen Team Member on a fixed-term contract for 30 hours per week. Pay is up to £13.06 per hour, with shifts including evenings and weekends. You’ll prepare, cook and plate meals for breakfast and dinner, keep the kitchen clean and stocked, and support the hotel team to ensure smooth service.

No prior hotel experience is required; we’ll teach you the rest and help you grow within Premier Inn.

Kitchen Team Member - BarnstaplePremier Inn

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you'll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract: Fixed Term contract - we don't do zero-hours contracts.

Hours: 30 contracted hours per week.

Location: Eastern Avenue, Whiddon Valley, Barnstaple, North Devon, EX32 8RY

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you'll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you'll help make sure every guest gets a meal they'll enjoy. You'll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service
• Help keep the kitchen clean, organised and ready for the next rush
• Receive deliveries and keep stock where it should be
• Work closely with the hotel team so service runs smoothly
• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right

This isn't a role where you'll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

You'll be part of a team that's working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don't need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you're willing to learn, we'll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don't mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
