Job summary

Premier Inn Taunton East is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to drive daily operations in our busy kitchen. You’ll manage rotas, place orders, lead the team through busy services and ensure top quality and audit-ready standards.

Working with the Hotel Manager, you’ll own the kitchen from food quality to hygiene, develop staff and prepare eggs, breakfasts and pub classics to spec. This hands-on leadership role is a stepping stone toward Head Chef as you grow your career with Whitbread.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering and stock control for the kitchen to keep costs on track across the hotel.
• Take the lead during service by organising the team and managing workflow to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare, cook and serve menu items to spec, from Premier Inn breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure the kitchen always meets health, safety and hygiene standards with up-to-date records.
• Step up to run shifts and support new team members as they settle in.

Kitchen Team Leader – Taunton East Premier Inn

Join our team at Taunton East Premier Inn as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands‑on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.

PAY RATE:

Up to £14.31 per hour

HOURS:

30 hours per week
