Whitbread is hiring a Kitchen Team Leader at the Manchester Trafford Centre North Premier Inn. You will run the kitchen day to day, manage rotas, place food orders, lead the team during busy services and ensure audit readiness. It’s a hands-on leadership role designed to build towards Head Chef.

£14.31 per hour, 40 hours per week. Location: Trafford Park area in Manchester. Training and progression opportunities are part of the role with Whitbread.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and costs for the hotel kitchen.
• Lead during service, organise the team and manage workflow.
• Prepare and serve menu to spec, including Premier Inn breakfasts.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards and keep records updated.
• Step up by running shifts and mentoring new teammates.
• Learn kitchen management to grow into senior roles.

We’re currently recruiting in our Manchester Trafford Centre North Premier Inn. Working 40 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour.

Join our team at Premier Inn Manchester Trafford Centre North as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands‑on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.
