Job summary

Premier Inn Carlisle (M6 Jct 44) is recruiting a Kitchen Team Leader for 30 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour. You’ll run the kitchen daily, manage rotas, place orders and lead the team through busy services, with close collaboration with the Hotel Manager. A hands-on role designed to build skills toward Head Chef.

You’ll own food quality, hygiene and cost control, shaping menus from hotel breakfasts to classic pub dishes while developing your team and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Leadership and team management experience in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to place food orders and manage stock to control costs.
• Strong focus on health, safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping food costs on track for the entire hotel
• Take the lead during service – organising the team, managing workflow, and ensuring everything runs smoothly
• Prepare, cook, and serve our menu to spec – from Premier Inn breakfasts to pub classics
• Make sure the kitchen always meets health, safety and hygiene standards – keeping the team trained and records up to date
• Step up when needed – running shifts and helping new team members settle in
• Learn the ins and outs of kitchen management to be ready for more senior roles.

We're currently recruiting in our Carlisle (M7 Jct 44) Premier Inn. 30 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour.

Join our team at Premier Inn Carlisle (M6 Jct 44) as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward.
