Job summary

Premier Inn Carrickfergus is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to drive day-to-day kitchen operations, manage rotas, place orders and maintain audit-ready standards while working closely with the Hotel Manager.

You\'ll own the kitchen, supervise the team during busy services, control food quality and hygiene, and develop leadership skills toward Head Chef. The role is 30 hours per week with pay up to £14.31 per hour. Previous kitchen leadership and a passion for training others are ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Proven ability to manage rotas and orders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and food cost management for the hotel.
• Lead during service, organize the team and manage workflow to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items to spec, from breakfast to pub classics.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are maintained; train and keep records up to date.
• Step in to run shifts and help new team members settle in.
• Learn kitchen management to progress toward senior roles within Whitbread.

We're currently recruiting in our Carrickfergus Premier Inn. Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour.

Join our team at Premier Inn Carrickfergus as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day - managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen - from food quality to hygiene.
