The Role

As General Manager you’ll provide day-to-day leadership and direction by maximising financial returns, driving development of people as well as creating and maintaining a unique and memorable guest experience throughout. You’ll lead from the front with direction to maximise financial returns through revenue generation and productivity to ensure increased levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily hotel operations across all departments
  • Lead and motivate staff through effective onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Maintain high standards in guest satisfaction and respond to feedback promptly
  • Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and payroll control
  • Uphold health, safety, and legal compliance across the property
  • Build strong relationships with local partners and act as brand ambassador
  • Collaborate with central teams to improve sales, marketing, and HR functions

The Person

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven experience in hotel management, ideally in a boutique or high-occupancy property
  • Strong operational and commercial skills
  • A background in both rooms division and food & beverage
  • Confidence in budgeting, forecasting, and team leadership
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of PMS and POS systems
  • A proactive attitude and clear, confident communication style.
