Job summary

Dakota Hotels is seeking a reliable and hardworking Evening Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping Team. You will deeply clean guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, make beds, and detail spaces to provide guests with a welcoming, immaculate environment.

Tasks include vacuuming, dusting, mopping and lifting items like duvets. You will follow SOPs, respond to guest preferences, and maintain the presentation of corridors and public areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work alone in guest bedrooms.
• Keen eye for detail and proactive, fast-paced work.
• Flexible with shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Deep clean guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, make beds and detail spaces.
• Vacuum, dust, polish, mop and lift items such as duvets.
• Record guest preferences and set up requests (e.g., firm pillows, cot).
• Keep corridors, stairwells, elevators and public areas clean and presentable.
• Perform bedroom turndowns per SOP and maintain safe chemical handling.

We are seeking a reliable and hard-working individual to join our Housekeeping Team in the role of Evening Room Attendant.

PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• To thoroughly deep clean guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, making beds, and detailing to provide guests with an immaculately clean and welcoming space.
• Be able to carry out tasks such as vacuum cleaning, dusting and polishing, mopping, and lifting items such as duvets.
• Action notes on guest preferences and requests to personalize guest stays e.g. provide firm pillows, setting up a cot.
• To ensure cleanliness of corridors, stairwells, elevators, guest bathrooms and front of house areas.
• To maintain the presentation of all public areas to the highest standards, plumping cushions, removing rubbish, straightening magazines etc
• To ensure back of house areas; team toilets, are kept clean, sanitised, toilet roll, and paper towels are stocked and that the team lift is hoovered and polished regularly.
• Carry out bedroom turndowns as per the SOP in place.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and usage of cleaning equipment such as steamers.
• Follow health and safety procedures closely at all times such as those pertaining to the handling of waste and manual handling.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS

The successful applicant will have/be:

• A minimum of one years working experience in a cleaning role is strongly preferred.
• You will work alone in guest bedrooms and therefore must be able to be self-driven and work at pace.
• Have a keen eye for detail when cleaning.
• Able to be proactive and work at pace.
• An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
• Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
• Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
• Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
