Job description

Our client is looking for a reliable and experienced Duty Manager to join their team in Heckfield!

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in hospitality and leadership, as you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the hotel during late shifts, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, and managing staff in a fast-paced environment.

Pay:

  • £13.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Duty Manager Leadership: Oversee the hotel’s operations during your shift, ensuring smooth day-to-day running and upholding high hotel standards.
  • Emergency Management: Take full responsibility for emergency situations, making quick and effective decisions in the best interest of both guests and staff.
  • Guest Service Excellence: Provide a top-tier guest experience, addressing any concerns, queries, or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and support casual staff, ensuring they are meeting hotel standards.
  • Shift Flexibility: You will be the sole Duty Manager on shift for certain times, meaning you must be capable of managing all aspects of the hotel operation independently.
  • Late Shifts: Work a minimum of 3 shifts per week. Shifts typically start from 2 pm or 4 pm and can finish as late as 2 am, depending on business needs.

Previous Experience:

  • Must have at least 2 years of experience as a Duty Manager in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to manage and lead a team, take ownership of the hotel’s performance, and deal with challenges calmly and efficiently.
  • Availability: Commitment to working a minimum of 3 shifts per week with shifts provided one month in advance.
  • Transport: Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from the hotel during late shifts.
  • Consistency: This role requires a single, consistent person for the shifts. We will invest time in training, and we need someone who can commit for the long term.
