Job description

Job Title: Commis Chef

Salary: 12.75 GBP per hour

Location: Near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire

Accommodation Provided: Yes

Charge for Accommodation: 115 GBP per week

Type of Contract: Permanent

Workplace Description:

A distinguished destination spa, an all-inclusive retreat dedicated to ensuring guests feel rested and rejuvenated. It features extensive spa facilities, over 130 spa therapists, and a variety of luxurious treatments. The surroundings are perfect for relaxing, enjoying healthy cuisine, and using facilities like the health club or tennis courts. The rooftop infinity pool is a highlight.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Preparing meal ingredients, including seasoning meats and washing, peeling, chopping vegetables and fruits.
  2. Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by senior chefs.
  3. Receiving deliveries and verifying order accuracy and quality.
  4. Taking inventory of supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock.
  5. Discarding expired or spoiled food items from storage and refrigeration.
  6. Performing cleaning duties and sanitizing work stations.
  7. Plating and presenting meals as instructed by senior chefs.
Essential Criteria:

Willingness and desire to learn. NVQs or equivalent qualifications are advantageous.
