Job description

Job title: CDP/Sr. CDP/Jr. Sous

Salary: Up to 33,345 GBP

Location: Sidmouth, Devon

Accommodation provided: Yes, on an all-inclusive basis

Charge for accommodation: 71 GBP per week

Type of contract: Permanent

Workplace description: This hotel is one of the leading luxury hotels in Devon and the West Country. Standing in five acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, it overlooks Sidmouth Bay and is just a short stroll from the centre of this elegant resort town. The hotel offers first-class cuisine, with chefs selecting the freshest ingredients sourced from trusted Devon suppliers to create delicious table d'hôte and à la carte menus.

The luxurious en-suite bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with most featuring private balconies facing south and offering exceptional sea views of Sidmouth seafront.

Main duties and responsibilities: To lead by example and ensure all procedures (SSOW, HACCP, Health and Safety, COSHH, Food Safety Management) are maintained to the required standards and followed by all kitchen staff. Manage and deliver the production needs of the section to high standards. Communicate effectively within the team. Plan work efficiently to maintain high productivity. Motivate team members through positive behavior. Support dish and menu development. Adapt to changes with flexibility and enthusiasm. Follow strict personal hygiene rules. Maintain alertness and attention to detail. Be proactive in self-development. Comply with company policies and legal health and safety requirements.

Essential criteria: Experience working in a hotel with a large brigade, using only fresh ingredients, to a very high standard. Rosette experience is advantageous.
