Overview

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of East Anglia (UEA) invites potential applicants interested in the MSCA European Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 call to submit an expression of interest for their selection process within the Social Sciences and Humanities panel.

About MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers seeking to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary, and inter-sectoral mobility. They are open to excellent researchers of any nationality wishing to come to or move within the UK and Europe.

Eligibility Criteria
  • The researcher must possess a doctoral degree or have successfully defended their thesis before the call deadline (10th September).
  • The researcher must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the UK for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the call deadline.
  • The researcher must have a maximum of 8 years of research experience from the date of award of the first doctoral degree. Years outside research and career breaks are not counted, nor are years of research in third countries for nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries wishing to reintegrate into Europe.
Funding Details

The fellowship provides funding for a cost-of-living allowance, mobility allowance, and family allowance if applicable. The duration can be between 12 and 24 months. Proposals may include an optional secondment or non-academic placement, provided they align with the project objectives and add value.

Application Process

Potential applicants should collaborate with a supervisor at UEA to submit an expression of interest form and a two-page CV to the Arts and Humanities Faculty selection process. To receive the form, email hum.research@uea.ac.uk. The deadline for submission is 16th June at 9 am (UK time).

  1. Identify a suitable supervisor at UEA interested in supporting your project. Obtain their agreement to supervise your research and collaborate on the expression of interest form.
  2. Submit the expression of interest form and a 2-page CV by 16th June at 9 am (UK time) to hum.research@uea.ac.uk.
  3. Successful candidates at the UEA sift panel will be notified by 9th July and supported to submit their MSCA Fellowship application with HUM UEA Faculty as the host institution.
